BNN celebrates 15 years in business!

The 16th of October 2006, our “founding fathers”, former CEOs Frank SINNER from JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH and Fritz ANDREAE from piCHEM Research & Development GmbH founded the BioNanoNet Forschungsgesellschaft mbH (BNN).

Four years later, in 2010, Gabriele KATZ, from JOANNEUM RESEARCH, succeeded Mr. Andreae and his role within the BNN and in 2013 Andreas FALK followed Mr. Sinner as CEO of the BNN. Since 2019 he is the sole managing director of BNN.

On 8th of July 2014, the BioNanoNet Association was founded and became the owner of the BNN. The aim of the BioNanoNet Association is to strengthen innovative research by promoting cooperation and creating synergies among its members working in the fields of Health & Safety, Data & Sustainability and Enabling Technologies.

BNN is proud of the BioNanoNet Association that currently counts 66 international member organizations, such as universities, non-research organizations, large companies, SMEs, etc. 

The team behind the BNN is growing constantly, nowadays counting 12 employees. Thus, BNN relies on more workforce, more expertise, talent and creativity, and of course more team spirit. The whole team is there waiting for you, our esteemed member, to support your projects and ideas!

We are looking forward to another bunch of years collaborating with you, shaping together the international R&D&I-arena, expanding the association, and creating value!
