Abstract:

In contrast to standard testing procedures, Laser-Ultrasonics offers a non-destructive and non-contacting method to determine the hardness penetration depth.

This talk gives an overview on the underlying principle and the measuring method.

Results will be shown on inductively hardened samples with a hardness penetration depth of several millimeters.
